Hello! Crystal Compass here with the latest dev log of Honey Trap!

Thank you for tuning in to this update! We have received more feedback and interest on Honey Trap since our last dev log. In this month's overview, we will touch on new story updates, change in content rating, and more!

The team has been busy working on projects, one of our latest being Sweet as Magic, which is our submission to the 2019 Yaoi Game Jam.  

The story follows Ryuu, a humble cafe owner who happens to be one of the few mixed breed species in the city. Despite achieving his dreams of opening up a restaurant, rent is piling up and business is far too slow to catch up with it. However, finances are the least of his troubles once he becomes ensnared in a web of unexpected events that lead to a magical twist of fate.

Ren and Wes have been working diligently together on editing and adding scenes to each chapter. After some deliberation, the introduction scene will be extended in order to give more background on the setting and story. This is currently in the works, and we hope to show everyone the new additions soon!

The demo will be updated on a chapter-by-chapter basis. Chapter 1 of Honey Trap will be available in the next patch update. The updated game file will include extended content, a new title screen, backgrounds, and special animations.

Along with the script additions and changes, Honey Trap will also now feature a SFW version that you can select at the start of a new game. There are specific CGs planned for both the SFW and NSFW versions, so be on the lookout for those in the full game!

Every survey response is important to us and helps the team understand what needs to be done in order to improve Honey Trap. Advice on character development and relationships have been noted. The updated script will include more backstory and varied dialogue between the characters! Please look forward to more choice branches, special scenes, and improved ways to unlock CGs!
